Every so often, the urge strikes me to jump in and paddle.
Sometimes I end up getting swept away.
Other times I bob to the surface and float.

Still Here
I know so many of you hang on every blog entry posted here. I've had a few things on my plate lately that take time. I'll be back.

I just found your page about the Rasciszewski (Ryder) family. Genevieve was my Great Grandma, Also my Aunt Vera (Veronica) and Anna (and Uncle Artie. Please, please contact me, I would love to be in touch with family. I am going to save the Rasciszewski site but please contact me by email at rp044@yahoo.com. Thank you so much. Renee'
On a different note (ha!), I just noticed your Morphine player to the right. How cool - a fellow Morphine lover. I had the opportunity to see them live in SF, Calif. The sax player blew into two saxes at the same time. Awesome.
Sharon, I envy you for having actually seen Morphine alive. I wish I had heard of them sooner in my life. I really didn't hear them for the first time until about five or six years ago.
On an unrelated note: I just spent a day with at a meeting with a lady who has several thoroughbreds and races them primarily at Colonial Downs. She told about the time when she met and became friends with Secretariat's vet. When the vet passed away a couple of years ago, she passed down all of her notes to my friend. I'm anxious to see what she has.
Newt, I hope you'll share what she shares with you! Those notes sound like they should be archived at the National Museum of Racing.
One of Secretariat's exercise riders, Charlie Davis lives here in Ocala. We got him to sign a Secretariat cap and bobble head figurine for us. Just a bit of trivia...
