Acadia National Park: Cadillac Mountain

Admittedly, this photo barrage is a bit out of sequence. Cadillac Mountain was the last place we visited in our three hour blitz of Acadia National Park. I've started with this section because these photos will hopefully give you a true lay of the land.

From the top of Cadillac Mountain, you can stroll across the bedrock. Looking northeast over Bar Harbor and its sheltering islands.

Looking toward the Atlantic. The Florida shaped cove along the shoreline is Otter Cove which will be presented in a separate photo spread.

Testing the distance

Despite what we may have portrayed here, the place was mobbed.

Emily and I gain access to the mountaintop. Interesting, the park service has paved trails between the bedrock. Apparently, the millions of visitors are slowly eroding the mountaintop.
